I think Jacks just trying to focus this site on quality information instead of the quantity of information.
You cant blame him for that.

This site is filled with great folks who have good information and I think thats what Jack is trying to focus on.

Rich

Re:No More Post #'s!

Basically, they have been removed because of so many instances of folks trying to run up their posts. In doing this, we had a lot of threads that contained pretty much no useful information. By taking this step, we're hoping that it will change a little.

I think for the most part it's not a big deal. It only happened once in a while but as the site grows, it becomes more of an issue.

You mean kinda like all the good morning posts ? Useful info.

The "Good Morning" thread has been our hangin' around the water cooler BSing thread.
I never expected to gain a wealth of information from that thread. :
We just had a place to goof-off.

Re:No More Post #'s!

You stated that there was a lot of post with no useful information but isn't this forum here to have fun and help others without the politics? From what I have read in the past that is what I have come up with.

Any Clarification would be helpful

Not an issue there, but you're forgetting that there are a lot of other boards on here, and post count threads were being started in those forums as well, then having to be removed.

Guys, we're 20-50 year old men here. Is this really that much of an issue?

I'm not trying to be harshe here, but the posts counts will never come back because I'm sick of removing post count threads. It's that simple. Sorry.

Yeah, that's cool. When I first got here I put more weight on someone with more posts, they gotta know the most right? But I learned over time that it's better to see what the posts say to know how much weight to give some of these guys, not that anyone would [glow=red, 2, 300]BS[/glow] us, of course.

Chris

If you still want to see the amount someone has posted,,,, go to their profile and down at the bottom of it,,, click on Show the last 5-10-50-All posts of this person.

Re:No More Post #'s!

I really don't see where the post numbers mattered anyway. Some guys simply have more time to post and read. I wish that I could sit here and read every new post everyday. But it isn't possible. This place has become my newspaper. I love the site and even though I only had like 50 posts when they were taken away it doesn't matter to me. My membership status will go up with time.
