New plow truck

Just looking for some feedback. I recently picked up an 89 ford F350 w/dual wheels. 4X4, 460 ci, auto. with a nine foot plow and flat dump body. full length headers, true duals.

I drove it around some prior to buying it but not a whole lot. This motor enough to push this blade?

A 460 with headers will be more than enough to plow with. They are good motors, hard on fuel if the motor is stock. If you put a good cam in it with higher compression pistons, I've seen them knock off 20 mpg pushing a 5500 pound station wagon.

Really? I knew getting it, gas mileage would suck, but it wasn't a primary concern.

Hard to believe 20 MPGs from your described set up. I do love the way cams sound.
