Advice I can give after having a couple of hours in that chair...
-Watch the sterilization if you can
-If not verify the needle is coming out of the sterile packaging before your eyes
-Alcohol helps... don't share too much with the person doing the Tatoo... things tend to skew a bit.
-Don't be in a position that has the area skin stretching in one direction or the other... you must be in the position for the tatoo for which you will be viewing it or showing it off after.
-Get it in a place which you can conceal it if you feel it will affect your job or career progression.
-For fine detail ...Go big or go home... Small tatoos are for graphic / tribal stuff.. Fine detail takes real estate.
-Don't do it if you are planning on gaining weight in that area (bad example but if you have seen a tatoo on a pregnant woman's stomach... you get the idea)
-Find an artist who learned to tatoo... not a tatoo guy who is trying to learn to draw.

Local Montreal Artist's work
Had a little devil put on my side when I was 19 in the Navy. My beliefs and realtionship with God motivated me to get the devil removed / covered up.
I was looking for an action shot with lots of energy...
Took a couple of pics that I had taken of a Samurai's armour to the artist and he literally started sketching it on me on the spot with a sharpie marker. Then traced it out and finally you see the black and white with all the detail. Don't have a colour photo... but it turned out really well once the face and colour were applied.
Completely concealed does not show at work... on hip and flank.

were gonna try. hopefully this huricane doesnt dump to much water over there and shut the river down. some friends from san antonio said they got 6" of rain the other day. if the river is shut down, well probably take the boat over or just camp!

OK so what do you have now that "NO ONE" else has...?
Who was this proven by, the people who do the tattoos or Myth Busters?
I would not take those as fact, when you are inside a tunnel where the magnetic field is 30,000 times stronger than the earth’s gravitational pull something is going to happen.
Some of the inks they use contain iron oxides that are ferrous meaning they are attracted to magnetic fields.
They are not going to explode or rip out of your skin but depending on the iron content they will heat up and it could burn you and could also distort the images from the scanner.
I had a MRI several months ago and the question is on the release form along with bullet fragments and if you were an ironworker, have tattoos or tattooed eyeliner.
People who get permanent makeup where they tattoo their face on are restricted from MRI’s.
As far as not being able to get an MRI might depend on how bad you needed to have it. If it were going to save your life then a little burning would be acceptable.
With most tattoos there will probably never be any problems but with some there will
And remember the hospital is probably trying to cover their own rear end for liability.
BTW the star looks good.

Here is some information from the technical end of the MRI
