Need Help Sold my 06-CTD

Due to a splitup with the other 1/2, CTD is gone but, not forgoten. So today and just for the winter I picked up an 01-Larimie gasser. Only 70-K on the clock and paid $7,100 for it 4X4, bed liner matching cap & boards leather,& other goodies. I needed a truck Bad now cause I wanna go to Florida for the BRR- Winter. Wisconsin gets waaay 2 edit cold 4 me. Anywho it has a 5.7 in it and I will be towing a 7 X 14 enclosed trailer with my 1250lb. Goldwing trike in it. Amongst other stuff.
Is there anything I can do to get a little better MPG? It already has duel exhaust on er. I also need to get me a new set of rubber for it B-4 I hit the road. Any suggestions out there? Oh, almost forgot, this thing has heated seats but,of course the drivers side don't work.Any ideas on where to look? or is it to much hassle and $$ to fix it? While in Florida I will be looking for a CTD & Toy Hauler combination, figure that the best place in the states to start looking. Lotsa Gray hairs like me but, with more $$.I miss my 3500-dually already. If any of you have any ideas please email me at [ trikerjim@sbcglobal.net ] or if'n U wanna give me a jingle the land line is 262-942-0864.
THANKS IN ADVANCE = Jim

You might want to post this on the 3rd gen board. This board is for 1st gen trucks, 89 - 93.

Dodge didnt make a 5.7 gas motor in 2001... or ever. lol

its a 5.9 magnum v8 or 8.0 v10 magnum..... I guess put an intake on it with some taller tires for mileage

but this forum is for 89-93 dodge diesel trucks.

Not gonna do too well on fuel, but you could try a programmer and intake/exhaust. However I doubt you'll recoup the cost of the mods in saved fuel in the time period you plan on keeping it, so leave I'd leave it stock and drive it 'til you find something you really want to keep.
