Need Help

I am helping my buddy instal some lowering springs on his 06 accord. I know, should be shunned upon, but we need help. I got the pinch bolt out of the fork, the three nuts off the top of the strut, but I can't get the strut assembly to drop out. Do I need to take off the rotor as well? In addition to the three nuts on the top of the strut, there is a center bolt as well, does that need to be taken off? Were at a loss. Thanks.

Josh

There should be a slot around the lower end of the knuckle that the pinch bolt squeezed. Take a chisle and drive it in the slot a ways to spreat the hole for the strut. You shouldn't have to remove the rotor but probly need to get the CV axle out of the way to get a little more roome to work the strut out of there.

DO NOT remove the center nut from the strut until you have the spring caged in a strut spring compressor. Probly can't get it off like that anyways but if you did Watch out! big heavy spring flying wildly

Yea, I finally got it all figured out. There were two EXTRA hidden bolts at the top that were holding it on. Thanks..
