Its just like the Johnny Depp comments.....it would be nice if celebrities realized that they contribute very little to society as a whole and and that their opinions mean next to nothing...

 

Not commenting on what she said, but a note to Dr. Evil - if what they say didn't matter, how'd we fill a page and a half so far on a TRUCK forum about it - and innumerable other threads elsewhere? :

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Like it, love it, hate it.................doesn't matter.

 

There comes a point where even though you have a right to say something, you can do it without causing such huge waves.

example 1:
Reporter:"Did you make these commits?"
Chicks:"Your darn right, and I can say anything I want, I don't think this war.....(enter favorite anti-war speech here)!"

Now in this example we see that the Chicks have made their opinion known before the question was asked, but they go on to say something that will stir the waves even more.

example 2:
Reporter:"Did you make these commits?"
Chicks:"Yes I did, that's just they way I feel."

This example shows that her opinion was already known, and reinforces this view with out causing more waves. this is NOT something that these chicks do. They WANT the attention, the more the better.

Natalie has NEVER been sincere about anything. She has done nothing but made smart-azz commits, and never been serious about any of this. the letter on their website only confirms this.

Lon, I stand by my opinion and contend that in the grand scheme of things the opinions and comments of mental deficients like the Ditzie Chicks and Johnny Depp do not matter in the least. I did NOT say, at any point that their comments were NOT controvercial, obviously they are - they grab everyone's attention including a bunch of guys on the Internet yammering on endlessly about their trucks.

 

I believe she does this because she's the only one that realizes that this whole thing is stupid. Why should anyone care what she has to say? She's not a God, or president, or anyone a person should get their political views from, and she realizes that. The media and most of america has turned a meaningless (she thought) comment into a circus. She seems to be egging it on because she sees the ridiculiousness of the whole thing. Leave her alone, and she will go away.

I don't think this is true. Watch her interviews from before any of this all happen, and you'll see the same cocky attutide from her. :-X
