I think it might have been an actual thing, then again it could have been a normal animal for the area but something happened to it. (got hungry and mange)

The "Chupacabra" has a somewhat serious following down here in deep S. Texas, especially amongst the older Hispanic folk that have lived their entire lives on ranches etc...
Good Grief! If MAINE had something as bizzarre as that, what could be the possibility of something equally mutant that spawned the Chupacabra lore down here?
And no, I'm not referring to Beagle's show dog .

FYI, There used to be real honest-to-goodness CAMELS roaming the wilds of the far West Tx border..The US Cavalry imported a bunch of them to ride in the hot/dry desert border regions in West Texas... The Army turned a bunch loose after they were done using them... Many a rancher had a good 3 years of life scared out of him upon meeting up with one of those ugly things in the brush!( Think I'm BS'ing you? Check it out!)

It was in the Bangor paper today.. I think it is funny how they are saying it was really evil and viscious becuse it killed a 16 yr old Doberman,We of course the Doberman was to old to fight back.

My dad look at the picture and laughed, He said it looks like some dogs were inner breeding.

The carcass was supossedly gone over by vultures pretty well but I'm sure there ought to be even a tiny scrap of flesh left to be able to do some DNA testing on to find out if it is a mutant wolf, bear, dog,(chihuahua?) etc.
