My 1983 Chevy C10's BRAND NEW look!!!!!
ok guys, i spend from noon to 10:30 pm Saturday, minus a 2 hr break and about 1 hr this morning doing a FULL drop kit on my truck. I used a Mcgaughys 4.5" front/6" rear drop kit. It consisted of spindles and springs up front as well as a flip kit out back. I still have to install shocks and do some other minor stuff before i can drive it, but its fine as im waiting on a shim for my starter anyway. Heres some pics of it finished. If anyone wants any kind of write up/how to pics i will do those in another thread.

Sitting on Bump Stops - removed and not much change, probably will end up needing to C-Notch it
for some reason this tire is MUCH closer to fender lip than other front tire, not sure if this is alignment issue alone or if i need to go back in and check stuff, i can BARELY get my fingers between tire and fender whereas left front i can fit fingers in there plus extra room

Well guys, let me know what you all think of the outcome and any suggestions on that right front tire being so different from the other three would be awesome, i know i still need to install all 4 shocks, but i doubt thatll change this issue any. also, my buddy says since i lowered it factory alignment specs are incorrect and i need new specs that fit new parts. is this true or not.

Looks pretty good, do you have anything else planned for the exterior?
It may be body panels... Measure the inside of the fender from your frame. You may be able to adjust it.

I love the first photo..it looked like a Manly Truck, tough and aggressive. The rest of them look like the suspension broke and it is laying on the ground.....
Just my opinion

IF your oil pan sit below the front cross member, might consider something to protect it. My buddy didn't and something ripped a hole in his..

Personally, I wouldn't enjoy a lowered truck but I do like the look, it's a sweet ride. That said, a roll pan rear bumper replacement and losing the hitch would round out the package.

Im not a huge fan of lowered vehicles either, but must say, that last pic just oozes with awesomeness...
