can't speak to the plasma cutter...

But, miller in general is top of the line! Unless it's used (maybe even if it is), and the price is right, I'd jump on it!

I've had a Miller 185 mig for ~7 years now and have only had to replace consumables: gas bottle, electrode, and tip.

Miller

Thanks Tony. I have a Miller 130 welder and a Miller Bobcat 250 gen/welder as well. I prefer Miller when it comes to welders.

I have torches for heavy cutting but I really like the portability of the Miller 125C plasma with the built in compressor...... I would basically be using if for my hot rods and sheet metal work. It says it can cut 1/8 inch. So I was curious if you can actually cut 3/16 or even a 1/4. Just like my 130 Miller welder..... It can weld more than it is rated at..... But if the plasma is really limited to just 1/8 I might bump up to one that can cut 3/8 so I can use it on more applications...

Thanks for the reply....

Dave

miller is famus for under rateing there stuff. yes you can cut 1/4'' with the spectrum 125. move slow and stedy and cranck the air up, if you can on that one,i forget if you can much on the 125c. just mind the price. somepeople think miller is golden, whitch it is, but if you dont use it much a cheeper brand is fine. miller is the most dependable that i have experianced, and i was a wlder for 8 years. miller can get spendy though
