Hot again yesterday, into the 80°s again. Might be a little cooler today. Had a very healthy thunder storm on top of us last night. Healthy by Alaska standards. The sound of the rain woke me up before the thunder. Some strikes were less than a mile away. Haven't seen any fire equipment, so I guess we dodged that bullet.

 

South West Alaska hit by 2 big earthquakes last night. An 8.2 followed by a 6.1 4 minutes later 75 miles off the coast of the Aleutian Islands. No Tsunami warnings issued. It was felt as far north as Fairbanks. My wife and I slept through it.
