Many Cummins in your area?
Re:Many Cummins in your area?
I have 7 Cummins' in my neighborhood alone.
Only one smart enough to have guages, he's either straight piped or aftermarket mufflered as well.
See about equal parts Dodge and Ford with Diesels around town.
Few Chevy's, but they are becoming more and more.

camp grounds are big in this area. MANY CTD's. See quite a few 3G duallies. There are only 3 3G srw trucks that I know of in this area. 1 Patriot blue with level kit and 315's, 1 stock "Maroon" and mine. a friend has a black dually to pull his horses with. Fords still have a slight edge though...just by observation.

Almost none hear. We own the only 2 in the imeadate area. Thats diesel in general. I guess were to close to the stupid city. Dumb city mentality. Must have something to do with really really narrow streets, low parking garages and short spots.
Once you get away from the city though things pick up. And every time I visit my sister in NC we see tons the farther south we go.

Ditto on the Powerstroke for the North Dallas, North Central Texas area. My sister has a Powerstroke, four door, short-bed. I like the amount of room in the cab and............hmmm, that's about it.

I live up north of Dallas in the Plano area and see mostly Fords around here (matter of fact I still have mine). I was in Brownwood last weekend visiting family and I don't think I saw one Superduty the whole time. Saw a bunch of Dodges though.

Re:Many Cummins in your area?
If you wander into a parking lot in the winter in Northern Wyoming you will be greeted by the pleasing clatter of many diesel engines and aromatic diesel exhaust, but not a semi in sight. Dually's, Flat-beds, some with Goosenecks attached, some with regular trailers, some all dressed in mods, some bone-bare stock, welding trucks....I even saw an 03 Dodge CTD which was an office supply store delivery truck, dogs and haybales in the back, drill pipe strapped to headache racks, four-dours with kids strapped in car seats while Dad is reading the paper and Mom's in getting groceries... I'd say it's a tie between Ford and Dodge, with the Maxi a distant third. Just a casual observation, mind you.
Re:Many Cummins in your area?
around here it seems fords are the majority, BUT, they all seem to be bone-stock work trucks owned by companies. seems like the personal use rigs are a tie between Dodge and chevy
Re:Many Cummins in your area?
Around here we have all three dealerships. Mostly an even mix. You will see the contract haulers and hotshotters mostly in Dodges or Fords. The majority of the Fords are the 450/550s. Sounds like a few of them have the Cummins, but have never looked too close. I saw a 2nd gen dually flat yesterday that was probably the sharpest around. If it could be chromed, this guy had it. Tryed to catch up with him but no way. I do believe it is time to ignore the wife (see sig) and improve myself.
