Mornin gang, just grabbing some ph00 (thanks Old Goat - - I mean dog) and on a mission. Thank you Scott for our history lesson this morning - - now here is your assignment - - where did Plymouth come into the picture?
OK, I'm out of here.
Bob

Plymouth was actually a brand that was introduced by Walter Chrysler to compete with Ford and Chevy that would be a more affordable option to what Chrysler had previously offered.
The name Plymouth came from Walter Chryslers' idea that it was a name that people could relate to in terms of hardiness and toughness because that's what the first people that came to this country, and landed in Plymouth, were viewed as. And Plymouth Rock... well, what's tougher than a rock? (so in actuality, chevy stole it's 'like a rock' catch phrase from Chrysler!)
One of Chryslers' Board Members, Joe Frazer, suggested using the Plymouth name because every farmer in America was familiar with Plymouth binder twine and it was a name that they could equate quality to. And so the name was Plymouth. The Mayflower ship on its radiator suggested the rock and the Pilgrims, but if it wasn't for the binder twine, there would never have been a car named Plymouth.
That good enough Bob?

you guys are a hoot! getting together with DTR folks is truly somethin' special!
glad you two had fun! or ate....
having a blast with company here, Matt, the train refitters brought in something nuclear. lots of state troopers and suit guys all over the place in town. no employees this week. what the heck can they do to a train that is nuclear? by the way, new york got federal bucks for a high speed train - hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Claude, you are the nicest guy- so glad to meet you up at Don's soon to be fishin' lodge.
had turkey in the yard this morning- they couldn't figure out how to leave I guess. then hour later an actual baby deer- about one foot tall and racign around like NASCAR....doing laps around the forest trees and our apple and pear trees. so fast we could not get a decent picture, amazingly fast for such a little critter! guess they like having company, they sure put on a display!
miss ya Scotty, BE HAVE out there. will post a pic of my seafood dinner at a fancy restaurant- three tiers of different seafood (maine lobster, smoked trout, mussels, king crab, scallops, calmari, salmon marinaded and smoked)
had to leave some stuff and take home the smoked trout and salmon burp.
met the former boyfriend of Elton John. cannot relate anything on this site, and probably good not too.
late gators,
heidi who still cannot eat any food....burp
