Morning everybody

Been up since 4:30 am but this is my first opportunity to get in here. Short night, about 2 hours sleep....... That seems to be just about SOP anymore so no complaints from me. I wake up breathing, I figure it is ALL good after that
I could always make my rounds and cradle you in my arms while you drift off...

Anybody wanna see my LEGGS?

Gold/Red here...been a BIG fan since the early 60's, used to go to practises in the summer and stuff like that. Can remember the Golden years as well as the lean ones..... Joe Montana will for ever be my man though on the Offensive side and Ronnie Lott on Defense

Yeah I don't miss the traffic there at all.... I recall coming across the Benicia-Martinez Bridge one evening back when the toll was 10 cents. I forgot my wallet and the kids had recently dug under all the seats for any change... They made me write them a check for 10 cents before they let me go across

Times sure have changed

Just a thought, if "luck" is what you're fighting, try this. Take a pad with you when you visit and write down what they want, no signature required. Make sure you date the info. About once every 6 months or so, refer back to the pad, confirm all is still the same or note any changes and date them as well. Basically, you're keeping a log. As long as you have a power of attorney signed to act on their behalf in case of a medical problem, all is good. If I'm not mistaken, most states allow for a single person to be designated to be medical decision maker and a power of attorney can be set up for medical decisions only. As long as it's signed before their mind goes south, all is good. Check with the social worker at the facility for details. I'd also check with an estate attorney to verify the info for your state. The bottom line is that as long as your have the power of attorney and know what they want, their wishes can still be carried out, you just have to inform the medical staff of what they want. Keep the documents handy, you never know when you may be called to use them.

Afternoon. Tried to spend some money at the base today, they would not let me. Dang PX has all kinds of junk, but no uniform items. I mean they have some, but they are 28 extra small, and 54 XXL. Awesome. Tried to get some cammies too, but they were stained with a dye... What gives?

Just had a little lunch, got the keg paid for, one of my Marines is going to drop it off for me later. Ain't that special...

Ok. I'll be around.

PM me for what you want- I'll Fed Ex it to ya. least I can do for my hubby eating all of your food and me not washing your dishes when we were out to SC. Army MPs can get some amazing stuff done for our hero Marines, ya know.

early hosp PT then ruined all the good feelings trying to find a stupid elec stove for the apartment. four hours later have two to check out tomorrow morning (NOT what I want to do, but so it goes). removed one fridge by myself and put another one in the barn. unloaded the 2x4s and insulation, new lights, ceiling fan and 20 trips to the basement to store unused/personal items.

hot tub has been running, now it appears to rain. Life is good, found a good book.

Thanks, ma, but I'll just order in online. They'll ship it right to the door, same price.

Very nice of you, tho.

I put a 16' by 16' lid over our hot tub/patio and ordered a patio heater that says 'delivered' on the UPS site. ?? No heater here yet.

And so the breakage saga continues; Went about 40 miles north of here to get a load of hay. Fine trip up, fine trip 1/2 way back, then all of a sudden I have 120psi of air coming out of the maxi-valve on the dashboard. Pulled into a rest area just as the low air buzzer went off. Couldn't re-seat the valve or otherwise make it stop leaking, so I called Michael who made a trip to the dealer, got a valve, (and a really cool tool for removing the push type air lines!), and brought it to me in the rest area. 2 hours later I was on my way. Yet another sign of things to come on our trip out east I'm afraid.

Afternoon all.
