Because then we'd all be over 10K, and BB would be at 100K. Posts of a "helpful" nature are all that is counted here!

I'm with Jack...I don't really care...it just tells other people how you like to spend your (lonely) freetime!!

If only post of a helpful nature are counted how come I have so many posts

I agree that the counter is more of a gauge of how addicted we are than anything else.

Sure! That's easy for you to say! We have to be voted on out here and you don't have to worry about numbers in there! It's a blood bath out here man! I have to scrounge for every vote I can!

Look at Geico and Begle...how helpful are they being by bringing their secret relationship out into public, causing a big scene, and frightening some of our younger members

Personally, I still don't think those numbers are right. There's no way I've made 2,760 posts outside of the Other forum. Probably 95% of all posts I've made over the past 5 years have been in Other. Given that percentage, I would have made 55,200 posts...which I KNOW isn't right.

They did for awhile that we were telling you it didn't When Jack did some software changes it took him awhile to get back around to turning the other forum off.

The thing is it is just a NUMBER..it means absolutely NOTHING....BUT we had to make them not count because a bunch of you younguns were posting nonsense just to increase your count.

Who cares? would any of you be any different if the numbers went away all together?

Of course not, each of you are valuable members and the number next to your name has NOTHING to do with that.
