Lockheed Martin with a Cummins

I was at recent expo and got a look at this.
Military Truck put together by Lockheed Martin, I thought it was awesome when they lift the hood to reveal the Cummins.

Looms

Under the hood was a wiring nightmare, here's another picture of what was on the right wheel well.

And here's the back of it.

Modular design? Slide the body off the back if the running gear is damaged?

It can be used for that also, but there are usually different modules that you can slide on. The one that was on there was a personnel carrier. I'm an Air Traffic Controller and we have a portable tower that we are able to slide into the the back of a high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV). If we don't need it and someone else wants to use the vehicle they just pull the tower out and adapt it to their needs.

What are the two hooks protruding out of the hood for, for a helicopter to drop ship it?

Ah that just gave me some more ideas for something to put in my truck.

I hope that was just an engineering prototype because the workmanship is really sloppy plus it sure isn’t militarized, first good bump and the connectors would come apart.

What are the seat covers called? Blue Digital.

That would the perfect Urban Assault Vehicle for when I work in the city of Los Angeles.
