In the past two days I've received two emails from paypal saying that my account has been tampered with and to click on some link to change my password. Funny thing is though is that I no longer have an account with paypal and the one that I used to have is locked up so tight that not even I can get into it.
I get e-mails 2-3 times a week saying I won xyz auction and I need to pay. Or that my account has been tampered with and I need to "Log in here" to varify my information.
I just send them all to the e-Bay spoof dept. and then delete them.

So, I changed my password for good measure and send the e-mail to: spoof@ebay.com
They'll do nothing about it and I'll receive 20 more like that or supposedly from "Ebay" in the next year or so.
Ticks me off, these good for nothing pranksters are trying to mess with my money!

Since we're on the Ebay subject, today I recieved 4 emails in "My Messages" from different people asking me not to send them solicitations. All messages were in reference to Gucci purses. I have no idea how this happened and reported it to Ebay. Anyone know what's going on?

I recognize your frustration and want to quickly and responsively
address your concern.
We believe that your account was taken over by an unauthorized person in
order to send unwanted email to other eBay members. Fortunately, it does
not appear that the account was used to buy or sell items on eBay.
You will need to re-establish control of your account. To do so, please
follow these steps (complete instructions below):
Step 1. Change the password on your personal email account.
Step 2. Change your eBay password.
Step 3. Change secret question and answer on your eBay account.
Step 4. Verify the contact information on your account.
To Change the Password on Your Email Account
Changing the password on your personal email account will ensure that
the account is secure and can't be accessed by anyone other than you.
The best passwords are made up of a random combination of both numbers
and letters. For information on choosing a good password, go to:

To Change your eBay password.
1. Click the "My eBay" tab located at the top of most eBay pages. You
may need to sign in.
2. Click the "Personal Information" link located on the left side of the
page.
3. Click the "Edit" link to the right of your password. You will need to
sign in again.
4. Enter your old password, along with the new password you have chosen.
5. Click the "Submit Changes" button.
