In keeping with my recent logging theme...

... and if you've got about a half an hour, here's a great OLD video documentary made by a 3rd generation Maine lumberman. It's interesting but sad that an era is forever gone, especially when he explains during various phases of the documentary that it is probably the last time he will ever see this, or the last time he ships a load of lumber.

Pretty cool video, thanks. Out here in Bellingham it used to be like that.

He said it was rare to see "the rail meet the sail" but our town was a jumping off point for Alaska way back. I guess the old cement plant I worked at last year was the supplier of cement powder to Alaska from 1913 on through the 1970's when they quit barging it up there from the loading dock on Bellingham Bay.

Keep 'em coming, that is cool stuff!
