Well, an eventful week.... Got "the news" on "the rumor". I IS official, the State is closing us down this coming summer. Guess I better start job hunting.

Oh well, wasn't really looking when I found this one, but it sure is gonna be hard to make up the difference. May just have to relocate. Trying some of the local LEO/Security stuff, since that's what my current thing is, but may have to go back to avionics/electronics. 20 years experience ought to count for something.

Have a good one. Keep a good thought for me.

Ed

Ok, I'm beat. Got home, dug out the flower beds, weeded, went to lowes, spent a bunch of money, won a $10 gift card, came home, beat the kids and put them to bed. Pics of the pistol will have to wait till tomorrow.
I was going to the seven day store this afternoon, and some guy in a CTD ahead of me almost broke his neck to look at my truck. Slows down and waits to see where I was going, and followed me in. I started talking to him, and I was like, wanna make that thing bad? He was breathing all hard and licking his lips. I think that I got him hooked. We talked for about 15 minutes, and he was all about it. Another sucessful recruitment for the good old DTR. Love this place.

Well, the vacation is over, back to the crap pit next week.
Got my taxes done this week, actually getting money back for a change.
Got the root canal done successfully.
Bought a new trailer for hauling the tools around.
The endo guy was cool with me laying my 45 on the window ledge whil'st he worked on me.
Pressure washed my sons house today, cut the grass, and weed eat the place for him.
Haven't shot any irons for over three weeks now, think I'm going through withdrawals. My favorite hangout is still out of business.
Bought a new scooter to ride around on.
Guess it was a pretty good week. How many years to retirement?

Hello everyone !!!

Well, that is quite the title on this weeks BS log . Thanks a million for the kind words and thoughts !!

The ceremony went well, short, simple and I didn't bawl (the XO lost the bet this time !!) We hopped a Space-A flight outta Ramstein and flew into Baltimore on the 27th. Drove down to Washington DC the next day to find the outprocessing center and got the special treat of seeing the White House, Pentagon and even that fancy place that is on the back of the nickle . Sure is sombering being in the same place that the nations finest leaders have been .... George Washington, Abe Lincoln ... George W. Bush . Hanging out in Norfolk for the weekend before we head back to Baltimore to send Mrs. Pistol and the kids home. I will follow in a couple days.

Hope to be home on the 6th so we can start getting ready for MODTR-30's chapter get-together !! Anyone else who is in the area is welcome .... check out the chapter posts for details.

See y'all in a few days,
PISTOL

Wow, we're having birthdays about everyday now are we? Happy Birthday my Sanitary Specialist friend. Mad now that you mention people talking to you about your truck, Monday I was coming out of Hastings and a guy walked up and asked "Sir, was this truck in a magazine?", I responded "yep, just in the feedback section though", he said "That is a bad truck". That started the ball rolling to make my day.
Ran through the heavy rain a couple of times on the way here. I'm calling it a night so I can be at the rodeo early.

Morning, the Saturday morning prank callers settled down a bit so I guess I got time for a cup. Germans must've heard we were on the offensive again, no bizmarks on the shelf. Got good news this morning, at least I hope. Should be getting our old schedule back, with some added comp time. I guess they were just a little low on the "hate-and-discontent" meter for awhile. Gonna be staying down in the city for the weekend. My brother needs some help with some yardwork, gonna score some big bushes to take home. Sisters gonna have dinner on Sunday and the folks will be comeing up to town as well. Suppose to get the leftovers from the weather out west toady. Hope you guys fared ok, I think we're just gonna get a little wet.

Why is it that one mornin' you can wake up all full of P&V, ready to conquer the world, and the very next mornin', without doin' anything differently, you feel like you spent the night at a frat party, were run over by a truck and then the truck dragged you home?

I need .
