Weather went a little south last night, wind and the temps went down. Still a breeze this AM. Nothing to serious though. -21*C right now so in like a lion out like a lamb. Hopefully...

Afternoon crew. Got back from camping about 0900 this morning. Had an interesting evening. At the last minute, we changed our location and reserved a group site. Turns out, the camp host is right NEXT to the group site. 50+ drunk college students and an angry camp host, not a good mix. Friday night was pretty loud(I wasn't up there yet), meanwhile, they talked to the host, said we'd be up late partying and they were ok with it. So last night, we go out in the pickup, pull some dead logs back to camp etc. Got the fire going(Gotta make the ladies happy)...and get to partying. About 10 or so, the camp host drives by us at the fire in her golfcart and tells us we have 15 minutes to clean up and leave or she'll call the sheriff. HA!!! OK, there are 50 wasted people here and you expect us to LEAVE the campsite while driving INTOXICATED!?!?!?! You have got to be kidding. I told her we'll take our chances with the Sheriff. I didnt think she'd actually call them...we got a little rowdy after she left...but mark her words - 3 sheriff cars come rolling down the road with their spotlights on. Ridiculous. Talk to them, blah blah blah.

Me: "Sir, about half of the people are underage and drinking, 99% of us have been drinking since mid afternoon and are in no condition to drive, matter of fact we downright refruse to leave."

Deputy: "Completely understand and I wouldn't ask you to, however, the rules of the camp host have to be enforced. I'm going to tell her that you all will stay, but you need to clean up and go to bed."

Me: "Fair enough."

Deputy: "Alright, ya'll be safe and get some rest. If I have to come back out here I will bring the drunk tank vans and start arresting. I don't want to do that."

Me: "Yes sir, have a good evening."

So yah, we cleaned up, put the fire out and went to bed. It was 2230. Camping. Tons of beer left. Little upsetting, but whatever. Woke up early and drove back.

But I am out to lunch. Have a good one everyone.
