I wish, it poured here last night. Reports are anywhere from 3/4 to 1 inch of rain. All the counties north of mine are under a winter storm watch until tomorrow morning. This wouldn't be a problem for me normally but I have to take about 30 of the senior youth to a weekend retreat this afternoon. I called their youth minister yesterday to make sure he was aware it was going to snow on Saturday because that's when they do the ropes course. Now, instead of a dusting they're calling for 1-3 inches. Hope I get off that mountain before it gets bad. I DO NOT want to take that 30 passenger bus for a sled ride!

 

A few years back I met a man in Tok who was converting an old school bus shell to a sled to pull behind his CAT Ag Tractor for some kind of snow tour to an old mine site. He bolted some old guard rails to the wheels and mad a hitch that bolted to the front of the frame rails on the bus that he could hook to the 3 point hitch on the tractor. Definatly odd looking but what would you expect from a guy named Spammy.

Getting ready for the AZ trip. Was going to take the Chr. town and desert in for service, but it is in use today. Should be good to go. Had the plugs and spark plug wires change for a P0304 code cyl 4 misfire a week or so ago, and a recent oil change.
Wife thinks we can get all are treasures, (junk) in the Dodge bed with the fiver on. In the Chrysler T&D, and the cargo trailer and not be over the GVWR.
Truck rental is an option. Found a location that rents P/U truck for trailer pulling. So we got options. And a lot of work ahead of us.
The prudent student prolly won't get her finals done tonight, so have to do some on the road from a motel that has hi speed internet. (maybe she will let me touch her computer to check in the breakroom.)

How are all the road travelers doing?

With the Alaska heat wave, what will the Iditarod trail be like. AK Paul, I remember from years ago in Fairbanks signs on some of the buildings showing how high the Chena River was.
Ofcmarc you standing on a street corner is shorts and tee shirt eating icecream cone? I have seen that when the weather warms up to about freezing.
