Heh... Just got home from the dry cleaners. As I was leaving the parking lot, I jumped on it (gotta remember NOT to do that so often to conserve rubber!). Didn't see one of the town's finest sitting at the light.

My excuse?? Officer, I just picked the car up yesterday, and I didn't think it would do that. You see, I drove a Honda Accord before I got this.

It worked.. Let me off with a warning.

My mom bought one of those right after my dad and her got divorced.
Considering her financial situation at the time, she must have got it for a song.
What do those go for these days, although her's wasn't quite in that pristine condition.

Mine right now is appraised at $17,000 only because it's not #'s matching and all original. If it was all original and what not it would probably bring somewhere in the $20K range I'm guessing.

When I bought it I paid $7,000 for it back in 99' when I was 17 and still in school...........lots of hard work and money and here she be!! This is my baby, I absolutely love her!!!

I expected more.
I guess Pontiac doesn't have the same nostalgia factor as the Mopar muscle.

Well the regular GTO's kinda vary in price. Mine has the 400 small block w/ an auto where others had the 455 and the 4 speed. Those tend to appraise higher than say mine. Also if it was a judge, yeah high $20k easily if not the $30K range.

Not to mention, $20k would be your monthly fuel bill, too.

Unfortunitly my bride didn't see it that way, so I traded it for my boat eight months later, and 6000 miles.

I finally got to see A.D.Adkins NHRA Super Stock C '69 AMX 4 spd. with the factory crossram w/2-4bbl Holleys at Bowling Green Memorial Day. Last weekend he went a 9.28 at the IHRA Finals. Nice rare car.
