F.I.S.T.<br>In the trenches with grunts, except carried extra navigation equipment and radios. How do you think those Lt's new where they were? They'd ask their F.O., then when his radio wasn't maintained properly, he would &quot;attempt&quot; to commandeer ours.<br><br>I agree, technology is lacking, and supplies need to be maintained. We didn't get the desert BDU's so they made up for it with propoganda. They created rumors for the Iraqi's to beware the troops in the green uniforms. They were the elite units down from Germany that trained daily to fight the Communist War Machine. The BDU's came in time for the flight back to keep up appearences.<br><br>We also field tested one of the first GPS's. Worked great, so they took it back for the command staff and gave us a Loran. Still navigated the old fashioned way, any time we went into a valley or under power lines, it would blank out. The GPS wasn't so hot in inclement weather. We had our manual calculations checked dailey on GPS and kept pretty accurate. <br>

 

Where are the detention centers for the Norwegians? I will gladly give up my wifes relatives as I think their spies. When ever I walk into the room they get real quite and act like their hiding something.
