Contact ebay and the local authorities first.

I'm not questioning the legality, it's the integrity of the individuals actions that are in question. It sucks when your 11 hours away and people think they can lie to you.

What actions are you talking about? If you are questioning his actions there is nothing that can be done yet until he breaks the law.

The guy sold me a trailer and kept jerking me around about when i could pick it up. This went on all week and when we finally had pinned down a pickup time he calls the night before I'm gonna leave to go up there with a story. He Says the trailer (42' enclosed shell) was broken into and all the aluminum on the walls and sides inside was stripped out and the wheels and tires were stolen. Talk about bad luck and timing huh! I can't imagine how long it would take to remove endless sheets of 4x8 aluminum and 6 wheels from a trailer, just seems like a story to me . He is sending back my deposit though so no legal action is necessary I just think the guy is lying to me.

If he is sending your money back then what you got to worry about? I know it might seem like he was lying but you didn't lose anything and you didn't gain anything.
