I was cold cocked!!

By my four foot farm jack (Jack-all) I was moving the garden shed around and placing it up on blocks. The jack handle was down and I flipped the leaver to lower, CRACK! Neat uppercut to the jaw when the handle came flying up. I didn't even see it coming. So... Whenever you are using a jack-all always remember to leave the handle in the up position :
(public service announcement for the day...)

Ouch ... I also learned that lesson the hard way. That pipe handle is sure unforgiving to the jaw.
Hope you are ok.

PISTOL

Been there - just missed doing that :

I was lucky - when she started jacking herself down without my help my head was just out of range of the handle.

Didn't really want the load to go all the way to the ground but I knew better than to try to stick my hand in there and attempt to grab that handle as it was furiously pumping up and down.

They say farming is the most dangerous occupation - I can believe that. Second place might just have to go to "helping a buddy out." If we come back without one of us having lost consciousness and all appendages still attached and no major damage to the trucks then the operation was a success. ;D

Re:I was cold cocked!!

There was no major damage, It just made me have a sit while all the bats flew out of the attic. Soft food is looking pretty attractive for the next couple of days. it is the hinge point on both sides that hurts, not where I got hit [undecided]
