He is going on 20, has financed his new house all on his own with no help from me except for the down payment, has a good job at the power station where I work, knows just about everything about residential wiring you need to know (he did it for three years), and does all his own work on his truck and three cars. He has been around me and cars since he was in diapers so I guess he gets that natural. He helped me put a new roof on our house at age 10 and it has a 12 12 pitch with 7 gable ends, 29 square all together. I like to think I raised him right anyway. He is on night shift tonight. Tried to get him to come to BMD with me but he has things to do this week end.

Well, my dad has taught a bunch about cars, but I can run circles around him now on either gas or diesel engines. he has taught me to do a lot of other things though. Designed and built a barn (in the process of designing another), done all sorts of wiring jobs in the house (installed speakers in the walls, replaced celining fans, switches, chandeliers), can do a good deal of plumbing, wood working I'm really good at (built 10 Adirondack chairs and then designed a foot stool for them; also designed and built a bench out of nothing but branches), I'm also designing and building a big BBQ Island for my dad's grill right now. I can install speakers on cars, and stereos, swapped two sets of springs out on some cars, rotate tires, change oil, spark plugs, pretty much anything.
