Well as I was loading the pictures from my digital camera onto my computer tonight I noticed the counter had restarted and was on DSC00175.
This means it went from 00000 to 99999 wow 10,000 pictures and starting over.

I actually have over 50,000 JPEG files in backup from all of my cameras.

I am planning on getting a new camera in January.

How about you guys and gals?

This camera is the Sony DSC F-828 and it is only about 2 years old, before this it was a DSC F-707 and I had about 4 before that.

This is when I made the big switch from film to digital which I had both Nikon and Minolta high-end cameras.

I shot lots of weddings, babies, a few surgeries, also fires and accidents for the local newspaper.

I processed and printed all of my own work using the lab at our Community Adult Ed. Center and would spend about 3 nights a week there.

After you get good at you can edit in the camera and get about 90% good shots and only 10% oops.

i'm just under 10,000 pics on my nikon coolpix5700 hoping to get a digital rebal before too long

 

Im only about 1100 on my canon a620.. dont take a whole lotta pics.

 

I am seriously thinking about the Canon 5D but for some reason the body feels a bit flimsy in my hands especially for the price so I will probably settle on the 30D and spend the extra $1000.00 on a faster lens and a couple of strobes. I need to get a new ring light.
