Hot Rods

Hey there, I've noticed that some of you own hot rods too. Let's see some pics, I'll start. My 71 olds w-30 clone, built 455, all home built including paint and body by me.

1965 Buick Gran Sport
1966 Buick Gran Sport 2nd owner 401 engine.
1970 Buick GS 455 Stage 1 12.6 car stock stage 1 engine with headers and an Eldebrock B4B intake. Also the 2nd owner
1971 Buick Skylark low 12 teens through the mufflers on the motor and dot tires. High 10.8s on spray with dot tires.
1987 Buick Regal T-Type. Actually the Turbo T package and not the T-Type package. A little different. 11.50s on the stock 3.8 with bolt-ons and Dot tires.

Also had a 68 Camaro electronics bracket car for awhile with a 488 stroker narrowed 9 inch etc... It ran 9.60s on methanol at around 143 mph. It was the only non-street car I ever owned and I sold it fairly quick. I want to drive my vehicles not just use them on Saturday night at the track.

I won my class at the Buick GS Nationals in Bowling Green Kentucky in 1990 with the 70 Stage 1 and again in 2003 with my Wifes little 1999 Buick Regal GS front wheel drive supercharged car. It ran a best of 13.83 with just a couple of bolt ons and got 31 mpg on the highway if you drove it easy. I didn't consider it a hotrod. It was just the Wife's daily driver.

SAVOY,

Nice car! I've wanted to build a Mopar like that for years. I saw one a few years ago that appeared to be a factory built racer. Never licenced for the street and based on a '64, I think. Have you seen any of those?

My buddy had a (I think) '64 with a 426 wedge that was the fastest car I've ever been in. Wow. I can remember being just pinned in the seat, smoke boiling off these big street slicks in 3rd gear. Man was that thing fun!
