I've got my cast iron boxers on so fire away. ;D. Besides that, at least my Ford is a DIESEL.
[/quote]

What all have you done or learned about your truck?
Anything you came across that made it really perform good or gain mileage? I know theres a few lil tricks with the Cummins and theres a 96' PSD that my neighbor has...I'd like to pass on any tips to him as his mileage is low. Similar truck to yours...cept its blue. Gets 9 mpg city and 12 hwy. We know it ca do better.

Re:Hey Jack.......
Scotty

What has your neighbor done to his PSD? I didn't want to hot rod mine as it is a daily driver and I use it to pull my trailer.
I did install a K&N and it appeared to get about 1 more mpg. Usually I get 15-16 driving to my shop and as bad as 8-9 towing. Gonna do the downpipe and cat delete pipe soon. Hope that will get it a liitle better mileage. I have 4:10's with 235/85 tires.

Re:Hey Jack.......
Scotty

He may just need to torque the valve cover. I can probably get you the spec. If he needs to replace the gasket, have him get the parts at an IH dealer. About 1/3 cheaper than Ford. Kinda like getting Cummins parts at Cummins, instead of Dodge. Also, there is a plug and wiring harness intergrated into the gasket. This powers up th glow plugs and injectors.

Scotty

97 inch pounds on the valve cover bolts. Do you have any filters that will fit his intake? Some controversy over the K&N. I've never had a problem with mine.
