Re:Hey DieselDude4x4.

I like to use em if I can. I have a 52 model B right now that is getting ready to come into the shop to be restored and then it will have a woods belly mower put on it and be used to cut a little grass. This model 60 that I am gonna get from DieselDude will be completely restored and then it will probably get used to pull a 7' or 8' pull type brush hog a little, and maybe a few other chores that I don't feel like doing with one of our newer tractors. The old ones are just more fun, they have personality, And I'm gonna love the sound of that 60 with a straight pipe on it barking through the field with a 8' cutter behind it. Theres nothing like the sound of a 2-cylinder JD with a stack barking with a load on it 8) 8) 8)

Re:Hey DieselDude4x4.

Looks like the sheet metal is pretty good. How are the king pins and the front suspension? How is the sheet metal on the floor boards?

I'm wondering if that is the/an original engine. I was thinking it should have been the old wide block 318. I can't remember when they started painting the engines blue or when they switched from the old wide block. Old age sitting in I guess.

Not much on that T-quad carb (we use to call them thermogulpers), they are a pita to get right with all those o-ring seals and all. I have a modern electronic ignition set up on another 318 here at the house I will probably put on it. The good Chrysler electronic, not that lean burn crap. I got two 85 Gran Fury's here, one a 318 two barrell, and the other a 318 four barrell police car.

Is that the vacuum operated two speed or cable operated?

Looks pretty good so far. I love it. Gotta call the insurance company and see what they will charge me for insurance on an antique truck.

Re:Hey DieselDude4x4.

Cool, I just remembered I got some stop/tail/turn lights here I bought off e-bay a while back. They came off an F-600 right from the dealer like brand new.
