Hey Alpine... (or any one else)
you were (are) running some kind of browser that made the quotes all black. (something to do with netscape) You indicated you turned colors off *?
How did you do this?
I was running netscape 7.0 and had upgraded to netscape 7.1 and the quotes are still all black.
Any other ways around this???

Netscape: menu:Edit-
select Preferences
select appearance in the pop up window
Go to colors
Check "use my chosen colors ignore yadda yadda " in the lower right quarter of the window.
