Hardship Program...
Never heard of anything like this before.
here , you get a beginners permit at 16 , then after 4 months you can write a test for your class 7 II , and you keep that for 2 years , and , if at any point during that 2 years you get a ticket , etc, you lose your licence for 2 years , and then you start all over , no such thing as hard luck here , you drive safe or your hard on your butt ridin the bicycle all the time.

KS is considering a "Graduated Lisence " program. Learners permit at 15, after completion of a required drivers ed class, the a "limited" lisence at 16 and finaly a "full" lisence at age 18. Not sure what the "limited" class will allow...
the reasoning is that 70% of all accidents involve drivers under the age of 18... least taht is what the reporter said... not sure if I agree, dont remember that kinda ratio when I was on the SO
back in the 70's( yes, we did have cars, tho most were carved of stone),
you could get a farm lisence at age 12

i might not be able to take my girlfriend out on a date, but i can drive my (well its acually only 1/2 mine) big 10 wheeler twin screw, which jsut so happens to have a cummins 290 in it, loaded with logs. Asked a officer if i had to have a cdl and he said that i didnt because im runnin farm tags on it.
Quite fun acually, to be able to drive a 'big rig', when im only 15.

here in maine you can get your perment at 15 then your workers perment at 15 if you have had your perment for 6 months. You have to have your perment for 6 months before you can send in for your licence test. I will be 16 in 8 days but have to wate untill october to send in for my licence. But where I live no one cares if you drive just as long as the popo dosen't pull me over.
