Happy birthday. Do you get to take the day off to celebrate - and do you then need the rest of the week off to recover?

A Coat of Arms flanked by a star on each side in the middle of three stripes with three rockers. Just saying.

Happy Birthday!
So true I actually Retired E9 but did not attend the Sgt Majors Academy due to developing leaks from high velocity metal objects before I was scheduled to attend.

I kept the "Top" moniker out of respect for the great Sgt Major I had, never seemed quite right to be called something I never officially was for more than a couple pay checks

Hey, I got all the respect in the world for you guys that stuck it out and were actually able to make it. It takes class, discipline and a lot of hard work and respect from your fellow NCO's and soldiers. Most peter out at E-7 and then give up. A lot of ground to cover between E-7 and E-9 thats for sure. Besides, being that rank for at least a couple paychecks is all that matters for the long haul. Congrats and thanks for all of your time in service.
