Why cant the press show a good human interest story like this vs the all the bad that they think the public wants to see?

Have a friend of mine that was back over there on another rotation. He's and EOD tech and they were going to take care of an IED. When they got there they started taking fire and he was hit in the shoulder and one went through his forearm (right one). He reached to get his M-4 on his three point sling across his chest and couldn't get it because of his arm. So, he gave them a verbal version of the one finger salute and reached across his body with his left hand to get his 9mm on his thigh holster and returned fire.

The media does not want the public to support the troops and their successes. They want us to tuck tail and run.

I just read one on a Special Forces officer that was killed and he left $100,000 for a party for friends and family to honor him and the job that he was doing in Afghanistan. This was on this site http://www.strategypage.com/default.asp

These guys tell it like it really is.
