Hi guys i have question for y'all. Do any of you know if the 1996 2500 360mag has a plug under the dash for just plugging the tach in? Thanks Jason

 

No. There is a tach wire coming from the PCM that is Grey/blue that carries the tach signal for the stock tachometer in the dash. You can see it in the bundles just over the brake booster, but I couldn't locate it in the dash panel.

I couldn't get my aftermarket tach to read from that signal so I just did the old fashioned tap the coil feed wire (black/grey) for the signal.

Are you sure those are the wires for the 96?? They look like the wire colors for the newer 98 dash...
