Thumbs up Florida to allow use of force outside of home

Saw this on CNN.com Deadly Force

Here is a small quote:
"I'm sorry, people, but if I'm attacked I shouldn't have a duty to retreat," said the bill's sponsor, state Rep. Dennis Baxley. "That's a good way to get shot in the back."

Baxley said that if people have the clear right to defend themselves without having to worry about legal consequences, criminals will think twice.

Basic self defense You shouldn't have to pass a law guaranteeing this most basic of human rights, but I am glad they are none the less.

When attacked you may only have a fleeting moment to protect yourself, it should not be spent looking for a direction to run because you are worried about being sued. Especially from some scumbag who is in the process of committing a crime against you or your loved ones.

Avoid the situation when possible, deal with it when you can't

Another home run by a member of the Bush family

I'm hoping it's also designed to keep the Bad Guy's family members from filing a million dollar civil lawsuit against the Good Guy
for stopping the "poor-misguided-came from a broken home-hoodlum" from causing him bodily harm.

Don't forget he was bottle fed instead of breast fed.
