I have welded cast iron before but it was thicker pieces, some welded good, some welded like crap. Cast seems to have alot of grades to it. I talked to my tig buddy last night and he said cast is almost impossible to weld with a tig as it has way to many impurities in it. I'm going to to try to get my machinist to sonic test the spot if it will fit down in there just to be sure of the thickness. I would really like to fix this once and forget it. Thanks Gary
