First time using the new to us combine
Combine worked great , the truck hauling the corn away didn't fare so well:

I love Gleaner's!!!
For a 15 year old combine, an L3 is still a pretty nice machine...especially when you're only running a 6-row head
If you ever need to know anything about the Gleaner's, fire me a question...we've sold them for about 25 years!
Nice Pics,
Chris

Galvanized Corn Grinders! or maybe Silver Seeders.
I'm a Massey Man myself
Leave a bin full of grain in that combine and you will push and slide right through the mud. haha. Maybe get a grain cart and haul to the semis. Nice comebine though!

Hey fellas, I am at school now , so this is gonna be short , Yes that lane needs alot of gravel , it was just dozed out last week , so it's pretty soft.
It's not that the snow came too soon , we had time to combine it , we just didn't have anywhere to put the corn, we are cutting all custom and the guy who owns the corn couldn't dry it as fast as we could cut it , we gave up for the winter mid january, mostly because our old machine was 2wd , and that field is a big meadow , that road is the only way in and out, and you can see how well that worked out, it was so narrow last year the combine without the head would hardly go through it , so we refused to leave it down there at night , because there is also a river to cross, the last night we cut there was calling for 3' of snow , so we pulled out , and abandoned it for the winter.
that gleaner there is the last of the series , it was sold new in 1988 i beleive, our old machine , a gleaner L , was almost the first of the line , 1974 i beleive, and there is alot of difference in the two machines https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...cat/500/page/4
We switched from JD to gleaner when we went from a 3300 to that L , now the L3.
we are running 6 row corn heads , because around here , anything else is just too big to work with , a big field here is 50 acres, and our planter is 6 row, other part of the deal is , we are the only ones around here with a corn head , except for one guy who only does his own, we cut alot of custom.
It looks like now we will have to cart the grain out across the river and up the road with the combine , which will be a pita , it will take just as long to unload as to cut the load, it's not real productive , but that's the only way it is going to get done i think. The guy who owns the corn just isn't going to spring for a grain buggy.\
anyways , i'm late for class because my post was not so short,
