Father/Son Projects
My Dad and I are currently working on my truck in the Sig below. Him and my Grandpa have taught me almost everything I know. We always hang around together, building fence, fixing cars, going to dirt track races, welding, ATVing, and building things. When My Dad aint around, my Grandpa is, and we work on old cars. And they both teach me alot about life
So I have role models in life.

Every peice rebuild as we put it together. We started it when I was 12, thinking I would be 16 by the time it was finshed, but we had it done in two years. I'm building an original bed for it right now I think it will look better that way. At the time we did the truck we didn't have a good set of bedrails for it, so we put the newer bed on it to have time to find some good ones. So then I got my ctd, and build it so I could have a truck to work out of. Little did I know that if I didnt have this truck I wouldn't need to work. It seems like that's where all my money goes

that truck is made up of more pieces than even frankenstein was...
Eitherways its a heck of a nice truck, do u ever show it at car shows? Im sure it would win...Rick
My Dad made my sisters build their first cars also, my oldest sister and Dad build a 66 mustang couple candy apple red and white top 289 c4 tranny ps, and disc brakes up front (nice car for a ferd) sister #2 got a 91 drop top camaro they just had to paint it, because it only had 24k miles on it, 5 speed and FAST. It is the motor in my truck now, she wrecked that sweet car (DAD WAS MAD). We build grandpa a 57 2 door hard top, a 51 ford couple. We've got him a 57 truck in the shop right now, and went and got a new project the other day it's a 38 coupe. My dad says "if you didn't build it, its not really yours" And that goes for your house too. My famly all live on the same ridge, and all are farms join one anther for a total of 1000 acres 300 cows and 7 turkey house (raising 4 million + lbs of tukreys a year) WE HAVE A GREAT LIFE

My son and I spend time together going camping, canoeing, riding ATVs, and participating together in his cub scout pack.
Every February/March for the past 4 years we have built a "pinewood derby" car together. Those are alot of fun to make and then watch them race. (3 out of the last 4 years we went to the district races after winning 1st in his age group at the pack) I still can't believe the look on both of our faces at race day with those little pinewood cars!
He is only 9 right now and still rolls his eyes when I want to talk about Cummins Trucks............but I think in a few years he will come around...
My 14 yr old son and I like to hunt, fish, camp, tubing, etc. I take a vacation every deer season and we camp at the farm and hunt. Last yr I put him on a stand by his self and about a hour later I heard shots being fired. I hurried back and he had two deer down
. I'm taking 2 weeks @ the 4th of July and we are going camping at the lake. My wife bought a 3 person, 96" tube yesterday
. I only hope my boat will pull it
. My 12 yr old daughter does all the above except hunt.

My dad and I used to do quite a bit of stuff together.......he was my best friend growing up......that was until he married a woman who doesn't respect me and my brother...needless to say ruined our relationship big time!!!
We still do stuff together but it just isn't the same as it used to be. Used to go 4wheeling, camping, worked on numerous projects that he was willing to help me on, and just all kinds of stuff.
Now I work for him and we get enough of each other at work, so we don't really spend a whole lot of time together outside of work. Which SUCKS but oh well.
For me and my son.......I'm trying to do everything possible with him so that he can enjoy every minute I have to spend with him. I'm getting him into 4wheeling in the Jeep......and for only being 4 years old he absolutely loves it. I also got him a little 50CC fourwheeler for Christmas last year so he can go riding with me on the farm.
