That is why I bought the wife a CTD. I told her if a deer jumps out just hit the gas. Well, She did just that on I-68 a few months ago. 75 mph and just nailed the gas.. Ran all the way over it. Very little truck damage and the kids in the back were safe and still asleep !! Gotta love big trucks !!!

Needed an alignment though.

So cant texas make enough of theyr own deer strainers anymore?

Not all Texans have them. This one dosen't and will not ever. I think they are stupid. Around here, the bigger the bumper, the lower the IQ. Unless you happen to be my brother in law, who is making a fortune off of them. Suposedly, your really cool if you weld them to your frame. Only thing is, when you hit something really solid, the frame gives instead of the cheap mounting hardware. Then, he gets to charge you $2000 to straiten you frame.

Which is probably cheaper than the damage to the quarter sections, hood, grille, radiator, intercooler, fan blade, etc.
Sorry but you opened yourself for some flaming.

Hey, the price to repair posted was a guess. I have no idea what he charges, but it's a bunch, and it all can be avoided if the bumpers were NOT welded. Whatever he's charging, he's living well off of folks who think thier bigger bumpers make them more of a man then others.

Wow, I never knew that having a front end replacement made me "more of a man" than others, guess I will have to check that out when I get home

And here I have been wasting my time on this earth thinking the measure of a person was how they lived their life, how they treated others and what example they have led for their children.

I'm not applying this this to anyone on here, but in the community where I live, it's nothing but cattle ranchers and hay haulers. They all drive 3/4 ton deisel trucks. For about the last 10 years, it's been Dodge of course. Whenever they get one, it's goes strait to the shop to get big fat back tires and both bumper replacements put on and the mufflers taken off. You should see some of the bumpers. Most back bumpers are air tanks and most front bumpers have enough room for several people to ride in lawn chairs.

I aint saying it's right or wrong, but it's what they do. And it's what everyone seems to talk about when one pulls up at the store. What size bumper and how good can the dog hunt that's in the back.

I still think there aint nothing prettier than a freshly polished Dodge CTD Chrome Grill, and I just don't want mine hidden by a mass of metal. I want it out there for the Fords and Chevy's to see the flash when I pass.

Of course not dummy. It's all about who has the biggest and baddest toys. Gee. I figured every red blooded American man knew that.
