Edge Trail jammer and Banks exhaust install.

Hey guys, this weekend i plan on installing my Edge chip and throttle body and banks monster exhaust kit on my 03 Jeep Rubicon.

I have heard and read that everything is pretty much str fw. I hope so because doing it myself saves me alot of money and i doing at a shop on Ft. Richardson base. Me and my buddies think we can tackle the job.

Well if yall know any tips or just want to talk about it let me know.

Later, Trapper.

Shouldn't be overly difficult.

Is it the throttle body, intake and box?

Let me know if you see any gains from the throttlebody. I've been thinking about going with a 62MM on my YJ. I'm going to put a 258 crank and rods with speed pro pistons in my 4.0 when I freshen it up and I will need a larger throttlebody and 24 pound injectors for that.

Well they had a mess up with my edge stuff so i am still waiting on that. They sent me the right one they said but the map sensor didn't match up so they are sending me the newer years, we will see how this works out.

As for the banks. it took bout an hour to install it. When i got under my jeep i saw that it had a Borala exhaust and WOW was i shocked. It sounds stock!!!! well i went ahead and took that off hoping the banks was louder. Well the borla looked like crap on the inside and was all beat up. and the banks is a complete flow through muffler. all i did was installed the muffler and left the other stuff off and it sounds amazing! real deep tone that i was looking for.
And the power increas is most deffff... there. At least 10Hp i would say if not more!

I'm running a 50 series flowmaster with 2 1/2 inch pipe. I'm going to install a aftermarket header also since the factory header is leaking as usual. The exhaust seems to have helped. It's gotten as high as 18.8 mpg and it's a 91 with a 5 inch lift and 33's and a 3 speed automatic tranny with 3.54 gears.
