Ok everyone, listen up;
This is a brand new day. It will have it's share of problems just like any other. Some will be left over from past days. Take the problems as they come, one at a time. Don't dwell on anything too long or ponder the possible outcomes. What is meant to happen is going to happen. About the only thing we can change is the WAY they happen.

Today is Thursday, August 3rd.

On this day in 1783 - The Revolutionary War between the U.S. and Great Britain ended with the Treaty of Paris.

1838 - Frederick Douglass boarded a train in Maryland on his way to freedom from being a slave.

1935 - Sir Malcolm Campbell became the first person to drive an automobile over 300 miles an hour. He reached 304.331 MPH on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.

1939 - British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, in a radio broadcast, announced that Britain and France had declared war on Germany. Germany had invaded Poland on September 1.

1943 - Italy was invaded by the Allied forces during World War II.

1967 - Nguyen Van Thieu was elected president of South Vietnam under a new constitution.

1967 - In Sweden motorist stopped driving on the left side of the road and began driving on the right side.

1994 - In Alaska, two teenagers were exiled by an American Indian Tribal panel. The teenagers were sent to an uninhabited island for one year for beating and robbing a pizza deliveryman.

No, it goes beyond 'attached'. They are truly family.

That's part of my problem; I'm just half a step from the edge most of the time to begin with. Had to give up LEO stuff, in part, because of it.

Nothing philosophic about it really. It's more a matter of banging my head against a wall before I slowed down and actually paid attention to what goes on, thus making me realize that a certain process might not work despite having done it a thousand times with the same negative result!

I read somewhere once that the definition of insanity was the performance of the same action time and time again, and yet expecting different results.

I know what you meant though, I learned to take a step back and rationalize, as soon as my temper lets me, it gets a little short from time to time. I normally try to remain as stoic as possible, but like you said, this was family.

Blake, sorry for what happened.

That being said, I know how I would handle it and how I have handled similar situations in my past. My dogs are family members, thus subject to the same loyalty and protections I afford the rest of my family.

Lots of varied opinions, every one bares truth and merit.

I wish you patients and determination for the best possible resolution.

Morming "everyone". I am preparing for battle with a bunch of liars, cheats, liars, and more liars. Oh did I mention politicians.
