Yeah I've been very tired and stressed lately. It's not only takin a toll on me, it's takin one on my GF, Family, and Friends. I've been very irritable lately and very grumpy, I'm one thats never like that. Been weighin a couple other options pretty heavy though. Work means alot to me but my family, loved ones, and friends mean alot more. An old employer called me up the other day and wanted to talk and see if I would be interested in coming back to his shop. I told him we'll talk later this week. He offered me same pay as I have now, great benefits, 15 min commute from the house compared to the hr + commute I have now, pay raises every year based on performance, plus if I finally get my CDL he'll raise my wage more once I obtain it, and I'd can either work days or afternoons with weekends off, I'd have my choice of shift. I've talked with the GF, brother, and a few others about it and they all seem to think I'd be happier takin that offer than tryin to wait the current job out. I just don't want to put any more stress on my relationships with the Gf, Friends, and Family than I already have after I took my current job. Only reason I left this old employer was to take a higher paying job but now that i have experience and more skill he's been wantin me to come back and said when i left that if nothing worked out I had a home in that shop. It was good work with good people. I'd be back to semi's and tankers but its a close knit group there that treated you like family.

 

go with your heart Matt. if ya like going to work each day, that's better than winning the lottery.

old dog, janitor has been busy teaching. he should get back on the computer next week. just too much to do right now....

Thanks Heidi, I've had that advice before for other situations and it seems to work. I know what ever I do needs to keep me happy but it needs to keep the people close to me happy too.

Hope the Janitor gets back soon, looks like the dragon pooped in the corner again.

Morning all. Matt, you've been with the big RR about a month, correct? If, in that short amount of time your GF, family and friends are all upset with you, you might want to take a look at the big picture. I'm not saying that you need to go back to the other job, but you might want to sit down with a pencil and paper and make some notes. When you start, one of the first questions needs to be why is my former employer so anxious to get me back and now he's willing to come off his wallet when he wouldn't before. Sounds like he's promised allot but you've already earned it where you are. Look at the future.
