Don't know about Gator burgers, but I love Gator. Our ritual every hunting season on opening night is roasted venison or gator cooked over a wood fire along with swamp cabbage. Ummmmm, good eating. We keep one of each in the freezer marked "NO NOT EAT" from the previous season for this event. Habitually every year we will have a big female in our swimming hole that has to be "taken care of" for safety sake - - that is our bathing pond and right next to the camping area where the dogs are kept during the night. Usually will have at least one good rattler over the campfire during the season.

Hey, have to keep them under control somehow. Now we need to figure some incentive to hunt down and kill all the constrictors in the glades. Hate to have one of those things clamp down on my leg and do its thing. Not a nice way to kiss it goodbye. It would have a lot of holes and cuts in it before it got me.

WELL THERE IS PROBABLY A REASON >BUT I CAN`T THINK OF ONE>
REMANUFACTURED FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BEGAN TO VIBRATE (BAD)
CRAWLED UNDER AND LOOKED AT IT ONCE DIDNT SEE THE PROBLEM
DROVE IT AGAIN > VIBRATED WORSE> HMM CLOSER INSPECTION >
ON ONE SIDE OF THE CAP THERE WAS A GROVE TO HOLD U-JOINT IN POSITION > ON THE CAP ON THE OTHER SIDE > NA NA -NOTHING
WELL THERE IS NOW > TOOK THE CAP CLEANED IT UP > WELDED A BEAD ON IT >CLEANED IT UP WITH DYE GRINDER > RE INSTALLED IT > NO VIBRATION SMOTH AS SILK >( LIKE ITS SUPOSE TO BE ) > NOW WONDERING IF THATS PART OF THE REASON FIRST U-JOINT WORE OUT ?
ANY HOW AN ENGENERING CHANGE HAS BEEN MADE AND ITS A DEFINATE IMPROVEMENT !

Big Baby. Just look at all the fun you miss. The swamps are fun to hunt in - - orchids blooming, boar running at you, constrictors, rattlers, moccasins, panthers, alligator, bear, deer and lots of illegals poaching for food. It really is a neat place to hunt. North Florida is more like the Carolinas, just not quite as hilly. We use a swamp buggy to get in and out, but most of the land is walkable. And, our deer are NOT the size of a Collie unlike the stories you hear. Those little ones are in the keys.

Snakes aren't too bad to deal with especially if you're on the lawn mower. My dad has a big fear of snakes but he has a great time hitting them when he's mowing his property. Me on the other hand, none of that stuff scares me. I freaked the old man out one time a few months ago. I put a dead snake in his tool box. Boy did he jump when he saw it! Mom and I thought it was funny, he didn't.

I've got a buddy down here who says they're all bad as far as he's concerned. He said he doesn't know the difference between the poisonous ones and the non-poisonous ones so he's just as likely to get hurt trying to get away from either.

I hit a copperhead the last time I bush hogged at the church. I rolled into some weeds about 8 feet tall, dropped the bush hog and backed up. There was a big rock in those weeds and when I cleared it, the first 18" of that snake raised up to look around for something to strike. The last 18-24" was in several large chunks scattered about. The weeds required a second pass.

Yeah, maybe at the zoo.. The only gators I know of are the ones that get left on the highway from the big trucks..

I ran over about a 16" gardner snake in the yard this summer. I backed up, lowered the deck and ran over it again...... and again....... and again.. I now have a bald spot in my yard from having the deck on the lowest setting. It was worth it IMO
