Evening DTR
Blake that gumbo sounds good! That stout looks good too!I love a good guinness.
Finishing up dinner right now, had fried perch, baked tater, and some salad for dinner. Got the yard mowed today and did a few other things around the yard too. The truck got a wash and wax later this afternoon. Gonna relax tonight. Gf will be coming over later.

sounds like a bad movie or Ghost busters !! Good to see ya, regardless!
chaiwka, hope your busy training schedule did not wear you out! thanks for the editing, but one tractor pic to 56 critters...not even the cat made it in. had a deer today digging in the garden. ate one tomato (green) wish I could train that one.....hubby and I fed fish, made a flat log for the three turtles now here (yellow- spotted, not nasty ones). felt like I should be a bio-habit engineer making big bucks...still nice to watch the beautiful colors in the different species fish. taking it easy today.
ahhhh beer and gumbo! learned from good friends who also taught me what a real country cajun mardis gras was.....very very different from the new orleans view. yup, Blake used seasoned okra and some mustard greens, pinto beans, little bacon grease for a nice stock with my crawfish, grilled scallops and shrimp. andollie sausage gave it the nice requisite kick. Labatt's beer though, for that thick and hearty broth. one for me, one for the pot.
split the pot for sharing with some friends who like my spicy stuff. fresh baked bread or corn muffins, can't beat that meal....making myself hungry.
enjoy DTR fellas- let's make tomorrow a good one! be thankful for what is around ya today!

When I was a kid, I'd take the row boat out at my grand parents cottage and head up into swampy channels and catch turtles by the dozens. Us e to see how many i could catch in a weekend. Mostly painted, with some little snappers, couple blandings, and an occasional wood turtle. Everybody could tell when I was coming back, cause they could hear all the scratching in the bottom opf the boat. There'd be wash pans and buckets all over the yard full of turtles. Sunday afternoon, everybody would grab what we could hold and have a race down the hill to the water. It was like turtle-lemmings.
Getting pretty hungry. Got some steaks and corn cobs to grill up tonight.. just no beer.

Yes Ma'am
Country Mardi Gras is a lot different, more simple, and a lot more traditional than the circus that New Orleans has become. If yall are interested Ill explain more.
Evening DTR,
Supper was awesome, stuffed beyond belief. Headin to my little bothers to give him some lessons for his next degree in the lodge. He is doing very well. After that Im gonna crash. Going to give another shot at the Chaikwa blades in the morning. Got em cut out, just need to weld em up.
Yall enjoy!

Evenin, all. Tired.
Dinner looks good, Blake.
Worked with the neighbor again today, yards this time. I wish he'd get up earlier and stay out later. We left at about 0930 this morning, back by 4. I got some things done here, and had another neighbor over for dinner. Had a few beers, but not many. Gonna go shrimpin here in a bit, low tide, and they run better at night.
So... Had a little drama today. While I was slaving, the OL was shrimpin. Somehow or another, her key and my fob, along with her cell phone made it into the river. It was an accident, but not what I need right now. Those 08 keys are expensive. Gonna have to go to Josh on that one...
Hope I do good tonight. The shrimp I catch tonight are for Chris this coming up weekend.

You got that right, with the Sentry key and intergrated remote, get ready for 150 bucks at the dealer.
Cheaper if you scour fleabay.
Lost a set for my truck. Had a new one made and ended up finding the other set next to the barn in a field. Stayed there for almost 8 months in the weather and still worked.
At my little bros, he just got a new monitor for his puter 23" HP. Its so cool yet border line ridiculous huge.
Mark he says Semper Fi!

Not only that but he's also on DTR in the picture!
Mark, have fun shrimpin' tonight. Hope you get alot of keepers. Sucks about your OL's key, your fob and the cell. Kinda makes me happy I don't have that sentry stuff on my truck or keyless entry. I would have been out alot of cash already with the times I've lost a key, dropped them in something or ran them over.
Evening Blake.
GF found out tonight her mom got approved for a transfer at work. Looks like if everything goes right she'll be moving down to the gulf coast of Mississippi.
