I've got a buddy at church that drives one. He loves the truck but hates the gas mileage.

What to complain about on the mileage... With my Gen 2, I have hit 23mpg running 70 mph.
best my frontier has ever gotten in 21, but I had a south wind chasing me out of Texas at 75 mph. more realistic on my truck is 18 to 19 mpg.

If it gets 25 you're golden.

Hey Squeaky, go to Craigslist and use the same search you pasted into Google. I found a set of rims and some with tires in several of the Michigan cities. There's a set in Kalamazoo with tires for $200. Looks like Intrepid and Stratus rims might work also.

rims, 16", 5 x 4.5

the gen 2 x is my wifes, I dont drive it enough to know if its like my Gen 1 truck, but the truck doesn't matter how you drive. you can hammer on it or baby it. your gonna get the same mileage.

I have only driven a 99 jeep with a 4.0. its not completely gutless, but it could do better.
Its probably like my nissan, the engine gets more efficient and runns better at a higher RPM.
