Hey Marc,
Cleaning out some old magazines and found some Alaska ones. Noticed that the population in North Pole had 100 more males than females above age of 20 and the mean average age there was 28.8 years old. OMGosh. The average age here in Sarasota area is something like 61. Quite a change. Brought back some great memories. Maybe 2011 again - - sorta planning on it. Oh, do you still have 11 police officers?

Shutting this stupid computer off for the night and go be socialable. Have a good night.

Bob

The days are short enough now that I don't reall neet the black out curtins to sleep during the day. That's gonna start changing here shortly.....

Still about the same, Except I think NPPD only has about 8 on patrol to cover all the shifts...... I don't count the brass though.

Evenin' All!
-6* and a dusting of snow again. Not much happening in here yet but we may get a chance to hit the range for some night (and cool weather) fire practice.

I'll put another pot on the fire for anyone who dares to have a cup......

Nighshift is here. I see Claude was having flash backs from the old party-line.

Chaikwa, quit soliciting the newbies.

Rebel, I wouldn't advise rolling on the floor unless you know for sure that the donuts have been put away. Just some friendly advise...

Claude, when you gonna build a scaresnowmobile?

Dragon's been stoked, made my rounds, coffees ready, dumped the left over paint into the grounds for a little treat tonight.... enjoy.

Dang it! Been so busy the last weeks with family drama and tech stuff that I haven’t been able to say proper hello's to my favorite DTRonians. Just to prove that I have been crazy lately, I just dumped (its after midnight here) almost 5 gallons of number 1 fuel oil into the left tank of the chained plow truck. I even did my normal sniff test on the can to make sure it was diesel. Its a 77 Chevy gas guzzler. Long story of stupidity but gonna keep the switch on the right tank until I figure out what to do. I need to start drinking again so these things don’t happen. Gonna crash for a few hours than get out there again. I am so looking forward to going South again in January.

Got any room for more gas in the tank? Just filler up and run it. Might smoke a bit more but it will still burn if you can thin out the #1 enough.

Yeah, but receiving fire from you guys is kinda like going to war with France.

Good boy! And thank you!

Morning all.

Today is Wednesday, December 16th.

On this day in 1773 - Nearly 350 chests of tea were dumped into Boston Harbor off of British ships by Colonial patriots. The patriots were disguised as Indians. The act was to protest taxation without representation and the monopoly the government granted to the East India Company. 'Bout time for another 'tea party' ain't it? We could disguise ourselves as illegal aliens!

1835 - In New York, 530 buildings were destroyed by fire.

1940 - French Premier Petain arrested Pierre Laval after learning of a plan for Laval to seize power and set up a new government with German support.

1944 - During World War II, the Battle of the Bulge began in Belgium. It was the final major German counteroffensive in the war.

1950 - U.S. President Truman proclaimed a national state of emergency in order to fight "Communist imperialism."

1960 - A United Air Lines DC-8 and a TWA Super Constellation collided over New York City, killing 134 people.

Carry on.

chaikwa.
