6 weeks ago my wife, who is going to school for Auto Body service, needed a full repaint project to pass for the semester. Well the Trans Am I had bought for this project I sold cause i was sick of lookin at it in my shop. Anyway i said just take my truck and give the old girl some new paint. Well now here I sit with no truck, and what was supposed to be some paint and bondo has now become a new Roof Skin, New Hood, New Cab Corner and now a windshield. And to top it all off the day before it went to the shop I got my powerpuck after waiting 2 weeks, so I put it on and horsed around with the truck for an hour or so before I went to work that night. She told me It would be another 10-12 days yet. Well anyway I just had to get that off my chest . I try to post some before and after pics when I get it back.

 

I have been without my truck for the last 2 weeks too!!! We have to put in a fass pump and gauges to fix the fuel pump problems, parts aren't in yet hopefully this week. I've been driving my husbands 2000 Dakota...... and have a nice size knot on the right side of my head. Can't wait to get my truck back!!!!!!! What color are you getting on the "old girl"? Sounds like she'll be beautiful with her new face lift!!

 

Its getting repainted the same color, I think they called it Inferno red, I call it Maroon. I'm also leaving all the badges and molding off. I ve got my late fathers 97 1500 with a 360 to drive for right now. God I miss the smoke and that turbo whistle. .
