I've met a few people at the range that were fan of the .270. I've noticed around here most of the rifle sold at the stores are the popular easy to get ammo for guns. The most common i see are the .308, 30-06, 300 mag, 7mm, and .223. I see a few guns once in a while chambered in .243, .270, .338, and .375 but not too often though.
The 7mm, 30-06 and 270 are very popular in my area. The funny thing is Ohio is also a non rifle state.

Same here. I bought my 7mm for KY hunting and Elk hunting in Colorado.

At ALL!!!! What next, they gonna make you run em down and nag em to death??? Geez, what is the logic behind that?

We do have a early bow season and primitive weapon season. Muzzleloaders and such. Just recently they included the .45-70 single shot in the primitive weapon season.

Its got more to do with terrain than anything. We dont have a lot of under growth and shrubbery to stop stray bullets. Bullets can go a long way before stopping around here. Besides, I like it this way. It lets our bucks mature

I forgot we have bow and muzzleloader too.

I dunno the logic behind their thinking, we recently got the pistol caliber rifles allowed for deer hunting. Now you can take a coyote with anything, buddy of mine took a few with his AK a couple yrs ago. They have alot of rules when it comes to deer.

I'm thinking of getting a marlin lever action in .45-70 gov't someday. I shot a .357 lever action and a .45-70 a while back. I liked that .45-70 round.

Well I can see SOME logic behind that, but it still reverts back to the basic hunter safety rules. If it isnt a safe shot, dont take it.

The .45-70 is a beast.

Remember, the average person is behind that firearm and most of the the times average isn't really great! I've seen a guy take a shot towards a 2 lane highway once, the couple of us with him asked "WHY?". He said the shot was good but forgot about people travling along the road.

Mad, you just got owned ^^
Eat some tuna with some salad, delicious and good for your muscles. But make it 60 salad and 40 tuna or even less tuna (but it won´t taste as nice)

And after youre done with your salad.....get a steak or two

What, I owned myself? hahahha

I am a person of varied tastes, meaning, I will eat almost anything. I LOVE food, good thing for the Marine Corps, or I'd weigh 500 pounds.

I'd rather have BBQ pulled pork on a ceaser... but that's just me.
