Man talk about addicting though. That would be 200 well spent but I have a hard enough time passing up the widget cans!!!

The nitrogen for the taps is a bit spendy too I guess. Although C02 aint all that bad.

Yeah, I told the OL that if she let me get that, I would not need beer mugs anymore... just hold my head under the faucet...

I think I can get nitrogen at work

My nephew is MSG over in 29 palms, he's getting out though. Didn't want to deal with the politics and he ain't much of a 'tail' sniffer. Just wasn't for him. Plus he took a couple of pretty good hits from IED's in his humvee over in Iraq doing escort duty, lost a bunch of his buddies in his platoon. It really shook his dad up so I think he may be getting out for him too.

I just go hired back on, probably wont be able to see home for three weeks.

Can't think of anything better for my tax dollars to go for!!!

Don't know why nitrogen is supposed to be better. I guess maybe it stops oxidation??

I was going to try to get into MSG, but I found out last night that I am dq'd because of some family issues.

Too bad on your nephew. I have a blast being in the Corps.

Sucks being away from home, but you have to put that bacon on the table. I was gone for 6 months last year, it's no fun.

It gives the beer it's texture. It's also more dense than co2, if I remember correctly. Heavier atomic weight or something like that... (not really, I pulled that last part out of my rear)

I was a chemistry major so that hit me in the chest. No way was that gonna go over my head!!!

My nephew is pretty young, he will only be 22 on 9/11. I think mostly it just bothered him that his dad was so worried when he got the call.

Family issues, I am really surprised cause my sister is a COMPLETE WACKO!!!

That was what he was most worried about during the app process.

Actually there is a small chance that I may get to run home for a day for a bit of 'refreshment'. but I am not getting my hopes up. Your situation is completely different though, there is always a chance that I can run home for a day, or even a few hours. All you guys can do is dream about it. Don't know how you guys do it.

But, I was right tho?

Nah, I have 2 kids with asthma, and one of them has mild adhd.

Nope! When I was in Japan, it was 6 months of... nevermind. Did you ever see the Japan thread? LOTS of pictures...

JAPAN!!!

Yep saw that one, I was over in a different gas field back then. Cool thread!

Nope sorry nitrogen has a smaller atomic weight than CO2.

N = 7
C = 6
O = 8

HOWEVER, I am not sure if it is in pure form in the canisters. What I do know is that it is inert, we use it for drilling gas wells so they don't catch fire (oxidation). So it will not react with the goodness or the CO2 inside the keg. Being smaller in size it may create a better 'head' in the beer as the bubbles would be smaller.

Kinda pulling most of this from the same place as you though.

A clock maybe.... A Nag-o-meter for when the OL is in a bad mood.

How about a sundial for your quarter mile times?

We have drive through beer joint and daiquiri shops down here... The will serve you what ever you want in a styro cup. As long as no straw is in it, Louisiana does not consider that an open container. Good ole Louisiana...

You have no idea how true that is. Watchin this rig is WORSE than watchin paint dry, 8.7 feet per hour now. We have 10 feet to go, kinda like spraying weeds with roundup then watching them die. A slow miserable death, which you only want to get the heck away from!!!

Mornin blake,

I guess unitl I poke my head outside of the break room I will be the temporary upside down EVIL DTR member. shudder
