Downtown Baghdad

I've been watching FOX News Channel this morning and they've been showing our troops with their tanks and APC's touring around downtown Baghdad. The Iraqi citizens are on the streets, wandering around, thanking our troops, waving white flags so everyone knows they're happy. It's almost a circus with all the newsies running around, talking to the MARINES and ARMY troops who are being vigilant for snipers. Newsies crossing in front of line of fire's are about the stupidest (except for some of our politicians) people to witness. Beautiful sight to watch. Now its down to cleanup and unfortunately, that will take it's toll and will tie up the troops for a long time. Bless them all. Our prayers are bearing fruit but keep them coming as it's still a long ways to go. There are many reports of freed Iraqi's leading our troopers into torture chambers, holding cells, prisons, chemical sites, arms sites and other points of interests. What was hoped for is happening, the freed Iraqi's are helping to destroy the Saddam empire from within. There is a picture of some recently freed Iraqi's holding a sign saying "Go Home Human Shields", an obvious reference to the peace activists.

~Dave

Re:Downtown Baghdad

The really unfortunate part is that not enough of the human shields acquired the fate they went there for..

He was standing between the barrels of their guns looking down at them, with his back to the front of the tank. Glad they didn't have to fire their weapons, but would have liked to have seen his reaction if they did. ;D

CR
